Buck Tile St Café is a café located in clementi area
near the residential estate. They are serving many pretty desserts especially
blue velvet cake and waffles with blue syrup. The location may be a little inaccessible, but the cosy quiet environment do make up for this small flaw.
Just a mere google, you will notice that the café exterior
is one place where many people take their ootd as it is really instagram
worthy.
Even the interior was prettily decorated with clocks
and ornaments.
In the cake display, there are a few selections for you
to choose. I must say the blue velvet cake was the nicest. We did ordered that
but due to the fault of the waitress, we did not try it :(
We ordered and paid for Blue Velvet Cake, Truffles
Fries, Crème Brulee Latte and Bacon & Ham Croissant. As we have spend more than $30, the blue
velvet waffles comes for free.
Staff: “Hi miss, the blue velvet cake was sold out. “
Us: “When we order, there are still 2 slices left. And we saw you
just serving the cake to the customer who came later.”
Staff: “I think my colleague mixed up. You have to change another
cake flavour”
Wow!! What an “excellent” service. The staffs make a
mistake. Customer has to bear the consequence with no apology and no
alternative. “YOU HAVE TO CHANGE” , I did not know I need to
change
As I have tried their Blue Velvet Cake during the
coffee festa 2016, I must say the cake is soft, fluffy, moist and best of all,
it is not too sweet. How I wish they are more helpful especially when they are
in the wrong.

credit/debit card to get a free blue velvet waffle!! Available both on weekdays
and weekends
Bacon & Ham Croissant allow diners to choose
between potato salad or original fries as side dish. The croissant consists of slices
of pork bacon and chicken, honey baked ham with fresh lettuce, tomato slices
and a toasted croissant. The sauce makes
the croissant moist. The croissant was buttery and crispy outer but soft inner.

The blue velvet waffles were delicious. A toasted hot
and crispy waffle that is fluffy within was served together with blue sauce
(taste like custard). It tastes really well. The best item we have ordered so
far. A must-try when visit.
Blue velvet waffles ($11.90) comes for free if order more than $30.

Truffle fries was a disappointment as there is no
truffle taste at all. The fries are crispy and none oily. It would score well
for a normal fries but not truffles fries
Truffles Fries ($6.90)

The crème brulee latte was sweet and fragrant. But it
overshadowed the coffee taste. Good for sweet tooth and non-coffee lover.
Crème Brulee Latte ($6) |
Due to the mistake of the staff for the blue velvet
cake, we have change the cake to The Royal Tinsel Island after topping up
$0.90. It is lemon-orange mixture taste. The drink is pretty and good for appetizing
the diners with its citrus taste.

Buck Tile St café is a café that do well in serving pretty
cakes and waffles. Initially I was very
keen in bring my friends there to revisit, but well, the “helpful” service just
makes me reconsider. But then, for friends that have not been there, it is
suitable for a chill-out time and high tea. Hope you will not be that unlucky
to experience their flop in service.
