Dirty Dirty Bread or in Chinese known as脏脏包/肮脏包 has been one of the most popular pastry in China in 2017. This bread has since set foot and start to spread like wild fire in Taiwan and Korea. It is very common to see people sharing photos of them eating the dirty dirty bread.

The bread, basically a chocolate croissant, contains large amounts of chocolate inside and is dusted with cocoa powder on surface.

Just as its name suggest, it stains people’s hands, mouths and faces with chocolate when it's eaten.  The bread first became popular when a bakery in Sanlitun( located in Beijing). People are seen queuing for hours outside of the bakery just to get a bite of it.

As this hype progress, more and more variation to this bread has been discovered. It has not hard to find different flavour like matcha and even yam (as seen in this online bakery Remyllh).

Recently, it has set foot on our fellow neighbour (Malaysia) where many of the bakery started introducing this bread into their shop such as Lavender (RM5.90), ParisLevain and etc.

This is a saying “不脏不吃,手抓才过瘾” which mean it is only delicious if it makes you dirty, and it is best eaten using your bare hands.

Given a chance, be hippy by going to Malaysia for a try and post your selfie with it before the hype starts in Singapore.
