Pompompurin is a yellow golden retriever dog
character always seen with brown beret was introduced by sanrio. Pompompurin
loves drinking milk and pudding made his mother. It was the first sanrio
character that set foot in singapore. Now, it has open its door on April 18,
2016.
Right from its door step, it was decorated with
pompompurin. Even after 2.5 hours of wait, I still find it a joy to visit. It
was as though you have entered into the purin's world.
You will be very anxious to enter the café as
the poster really makes you excited to see how cute the food will be.
Patrons can request to sit inside the four-five
seaters booth called the Tomodachi House. Due to the massive crowd and long
waiting time, we did not request for it. But it is definitely an experience to
sit within the cute house.

From the menu below, those food items that have
a mug logo signify that you can have a mini take-home mug. The price of the
food can be very steep but this mug has to minimize the “expensive feeling”.

Look at how cute the food items can be. In
these food items, it is shaped to looks like pompompurin. Furthermore, the
tableware also carries pictures of pompompurin. Really an effort for the café
to follow the theme so closely.
Banana & Caramel Pancake comes with two
thick slices of pompompurin shaped pancake topped with whipped cream, custard
and chunk of bananas. The pancake was thick and dry. It would be better to pair
the pancake with the cream and custard for optimize taste.

Caramel latte has always been one of the hot
favourites for people who need some coffee fix but dislike the bitter coffee
taste. In pompompurin café, the caramel latte was topped with whipped cream and
a small slice of purin shaped cookie. It was a pretty sweet drink that I could
not comprehend if it is good as I am always not a fan of sweet coffee.

Mushroom & Bacon Carbonara was kind of
disappointing for me as it cost $27 but the serving of bacon and mushroom was
little. The spaghetti was chewy and creamy, but it lasts the accompanying
ingredients and the “wow factor “to cost so much. The only good point of
ordering this is the take home pompompurin mug.

Taco Rice In A Cup Of Friendship was my bf
favourite item among the food we ordered. The rice was mixed into the mixture
of minced meat, tomatoes, avocado, eggs, tacos and rice, following the café
recommendation: “This is best eaten by lowering Pompompurin and Muffin on
the meat and veggies before mixing it all in together.” The overall taste is
savory. It taste as though you are eating Bolognese rice. Appetizing for my bf,
but it’s not to my liking.
