A churro is a fried-dough pastry, popular in Spain, Portugal,
France, the Philippines and many part of the world. In Spain, churros can
either be thin or long and thick. It has also been gaining its popularity in Singapore.
Hot crispy dough coupled with sugar and sauce, it was heavenly!
Although Im not a fan of sweet desserts, once in a
while, I could crave for Churros and I don’t know why. I feel very fortunate that my craving could be
easily satisfied as Churros Factory has an outlet located at Junction 10, which
is minutes walk away from Bukit Panjang MRT/LRT. Although one can choose to take the LRT to Ten
Mile Junction station, the LRT frequency to this station is about 20-30mins.
Outside of the café, there are oil barrel to serve as a
dining table for the patrons to enjoy the churros while enjoying the breeze of
wind. It can be very warm during afternoon thus, I prefer the indoor seating.
Within the café, it giving a very cosy environment,
where you can laze around on the beanbag and sofa. Patrons can also choose to
sit on high chair and consume on the “oil barrel table”.
The ordering process was very easy and smooth. Just
popped over to the counter, order your food and wait for your name to be
called.
There are variety of churros flavours and drinks to
choose from.
I have order the classic churros 6 pcs ($7) which comes
with chocolate sauce and the ondeh churros 6 pcs ($8) which comes with gula melaka
sauce.
I must say the churros were really crispy and the inner
core was soft and fluffy. The chocolate sauce was really rich but slightly
sweet. I love the idea that they allow you to separate the sauce so that you
can control the sweetness of the desserts.

The ondeh churros were interesting. The texture of the churros was similar with the original. Except that the churros has a light pandan taste and the coconuts flakes helps to enhance the taste. The drizzling of gula Melaka on top of this churros, create a prefect resemblance of ondeh ondeh, except, it was in the form of churros.
