Antoinette is often one of the choices when deciding
where to go for good afternoon tea. She is reputed not only for its artisanal
pastries and desserts, but also for its exquisite and French style
decorates and the use of tableware. The entire place was inspired by
Queen Marie-Antoinette. This Parisian patisserie has set the benchmark for the
French classic pastry and dessert.
The moment you enter the Penhas outlet, you will be
amazed with the decorates. It was really pretty and the dessert looks really
appetizing. From the 360° camera below, you can see how amazing and
luxurious the place is. It was really quiet and pretty for you to enjoy your
time here with friends and family.

The craze for salted egg yolk
croissants in Singapore was brought in from Malaysia by Antoinette where it
starts to launch salted egg yolk croissants – the heavenly match for golden
lava and the crispy buttery croissants.
The salted egg yolk croissant cost $6.50 per
piece. We find the serving just right for twin sharing, before it gets too rich
for your liking. The golden lava did not flow out like the poster from
Antoinette, so to take some decent photos; we kind of squeeze the croissants
for it to flow. For more photogenic photos, you can request the staff to heat
up for you. Golden lava was thick and slightly grainy where as the croissants
was buttery, flaky and crispy. I would appreciate the croissant more if the
price of the croissants was lower.

The Wild Mushroom Risotto tastes heavenly, even
though it was slightly salty after eating for some time. The arborio rice was
chewy and infused with the tasty wine-cream sauce, making it more delicious
with sautéed mushrooms.

The homemade pappardelle pasta sautéed with
fine herbs, a touch of spiciness through the use of spicy white wine tomato
sauce and chunks of crabmeat. It was really rich and creamy. The sweet-sour
taste from white wine tomato sauce was very appetizing.

In order to satisfy out sweet tooth, we have
order the French toast with ham and cheese as well as French toast w
caramelized banana. Served with ham and cheese sandwiched within it
and drizzled with honey, this savory french toast is a great breakfast or
lunch.

For the French toast with caramelized banana,
it was much sweeter. The French toast was dripped with creme Chantilly, makes
it hard for one to finish the entire serving alone as we tend to be very sick
of it due to the sweetness. But for serving, it would be fine as it helps to
satisfy the sweet tooth of individuals.

Antoinette was their speciality where it was
made up of milk chocolate mousse infusd with earl grey tea. Within the mousse,
there is chocolate biscuit and earl grey tea cremeux which helps to create
texture to the cake. Furthermore, the raspberry coulis on top of the cake burst
out upon cutting it, giving the cake a tinge of sourness to neutral the
sweetness of the cake. It was really delicious.

The taste of strawberry shortcake tends to be
normal as compared to the dishes we tried. The cake was soft and fluffy. But I
find that the strawberry serving within was really little.
