Hokkaido Ice Cream Puff is a new
addition to Mount Austin “food heaven”. As the name suggest, it sells ice cream
within the cream puff. For ice cream and puff lovers, it’s a best of both world
option.
Having heard of the launch, it makes
me excited for it. Due to the relatively short weekend operating hours, I have
experience a few failed trip before this success. This delightful puff was
located in a very shop front hidden in Mount Austin area.
There is only takeaway option due to
limited shop space but fear not as it takes merely a few minutes to finish this
delicious puff. Each puff cost only RM3.80. It comes with 8 flavours of ice
cream for your selection.
A couple of minutes is all it takes to
obtain this delight. Upon receiving the puff, you will be tempted by the big
scoop of ice cream within the puff. This
is how generous the scoop of ice cream was.
I have chosen the mint chocolate and
yam flavour for tasting. The ice cream taste really ordinary as it really
tastes like magnolia ice cream. The attractive element of this dessert is the
choux (puff) itself. It was really crispy and buttery. Due to the moisture from
the ice cream sipping into the puff, it makes the inner slightly moist and
soft. It’s a perfect match between the ice cream and the puff.
I believe that it is worth a try.
There are many franchises across the Malaysia, so I believe it is not too
remote a place to taste this delight.
