Fellow
folk who are staying near Choa Chu Kang (CCK), you might be pleased to hear
that there is a newly opened ice cream café near our neighbour. This humble
little café was situated near a row of shop houses. It takes about 10 min walk
from Keat Hong MRT.
While
searching for ice cream to satisfy my craving, my friend and I chanced upon
this café. To be honest, the location of
the café was relatively ulu and weird, because it is situation between a Zi
Char stall and a muslim stall. It can be
easily missed.
Upon
entering, you will be surprised with how spacious the café is. The tables are
widely spread to allow diners to enjoy and chill in the café. This is what most
café lack (too many crampy café).
Sticks
N’ stones (SNS) has a total of 14 ice cream flavours for diners to choose from.
For those who are coming in a big group, why not order <Specials Frost
Bite> where you can indulge all the 14 flavours of the ice cream with three
type of waffles (original, red velvet and charcoal) at a price of $32.80.
The
drinks selection is pretty decent and affordable ranging from $4 - $7.80.
We
have ordered the original waffle to pair with Hazelnut Roche and a Matcha Green
Tea at a total price of $13.
Waffles
($5) + Double scoop ($7 + $1 (special flavour))
I
must say the waffles taste pretty delicious. Unlike the usual waffle in other
café where they are airy and chewy within and crispy externally, SNS’s waffle
is both (interior and exterior). It gives me a surprise in term of the
different taste texture. As for the ice-cream they are slightly on a sweeter
end. It would be better if the ice cream is smoother and less sweet.
Nevertheless,
I still find Sticks N’ Stones a gem in our neighbourhood serving decent
waffles, ice cream and a spacious cosy place to chill.
